Good Bye Brother Bill..............

William E. Long, Jr.
November 3, 1956 – July 23, 2010

William E. Long, Jr. (Bill) passed away unexpectedly at Waukesha Memorial Hospital on Friday, July 23, 2010.

He was born November 3, 1956, in Fullerton, California. Grew up in the Eagle area and Waukesha. He attended Eagleville Grade School and St. Theresa’s Grade School and graduated from Waukesha South High School in 1973.

He was a caring, loving father of Michael DePriest (Misti Wandschneider) of Wales, Larynn Ferree (Billy) of Waukesha, Karleen Garcia (Lorenzo) of Hartland and Corrine Long (Mario Sanchez) of Waukesha.

As the first born, he will be sincerely missed by his surviving mother, Arlene Phillips (the late Jack Phillips) of Pewaukee, formerly of Waukesha.

He was a great brother to Sharron Stolpa (Steve) of Waukesha, Karee Memmel (Scott) of Waukesha, Kimberly Parks (Gene) of Kenosha, David Long (Christine) of Waterford and Misty Thoma of Waukesha. He will always be remembered by his siblings, as their “Protector”. A mountain of a man, who seemed to always be there when they were growing up.

Bill adored his grandchildren, Ryloi DePriest, Tadashi Garcia, Taija Garcia and his unborn grandson, Haruki Garcia, due in September.

He is further survived by niece Sarresa Hrenak (Michael), niece and God-daughter, Shanna Hanusa (Jason) and nephew Tyler Thoma, all of Waukesha. Also, the mother of his children, Linda DePriest and many other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his step-father, Jack Phillips and nephew Sean Bryan Phillips Thoma.

Even though Bill lived a pauper’s life, he was rich with family who loved him and who he loved as well. Bill was a prolific reader, always expanding his knowledge. He loved antiquing, finding treasures everywhere. He was a great artist as well, sharing his art work with family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 30, 2010, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a brief “remembrance” service at 6:00 p.m., at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 W. Bluemound Road (at Highways J and JJ, four blocks south of Interstate 94), in Waukesha. A private burial will take place on Saturday, July 30, 2010, at Jericho Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.

Bill’s family would like to express our immense gratitude to the Doctor’s and Nurse’s in the Intensive Care Unit at Waukesha Memorial Hospital for the non-stop effort and care given to Bill to try and save his life. You are all “Angels on Earth”. Thank you all.

Final Project

I feel my thesis is a little choppy. I want my paper to go in the direction of how depression and suicide in teenagers can be helped with proper coping skills. I have worded and reworded several times. I know that domestic and psychological abuse is hard for teenagers to deal with but the wording is soimportant to get my message across.

A New Day

I am going to stay busy with homework. Being a weekend warrior is very helpful to keep my mind off everything. The teenagers are all out doing their thing so I am home alone and loving it. I am going to try to post some new pics....Thanks for reading, this is actually very relaxing to write down all the little things I just might keep this up after our class is over.....

Whoever said Sunday was fun day?......Today is filled with angry teenagers...LOL  not fun. Somedays I just feel like running away. Somehow I thought I would at least make a few people smile. Back to deciding on thesis statements for 2 classes. fun fun fun....beats math I suppose

Saturday

This day is suppose to be my day for homework. However teenagers have this unique ability to change my plans. I will be a taxi service for pretty much today, but tonight I will be able to slip away, and of course this morning is mine as well since the little darlings get to sleep in until 10am. The joys of parenthood.
I am really beginning to like the idea of having a blog. This is giving me freedom to vent. I feel sorry for everyone having to read my whinjng though. I am sure something terrific will happen and I will share that as well.

my husband and I

We met on Yearbook. We clicked immediately. Life has been so great I can't imagine my life without him.
Some women from other sites seem to not get the fact we married and this part makes me a little indifferent.I hope someday to be able to work from home since he is a truckdriver and I could be with him. NOT 24/7 just sometimes like maybe a run to MN would be fun and I could still work out of the truck.
